The Seductive New CLS-Class Launches in Hong Kong The world's first four-door coupe - Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class was triumphantly launched in Hong Kong in December, 2004. Mercedes-Benz China Limited organised a media workshop on December 13 and a wonderful party was held in the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on December 14. Joining the celebrations was one of the designers of the car, Mr. Hans-Dieter Futschik, who arrived especially from Germany to see his creation unveiled to an excited Hong Kong audience eager to take in the tantalising curves of the new CLS-Class. The audience included the creme de la creme of Hong Kong's Mercedes-Benz lovers, car aficionados and of course the city's movers, shakers and sexy, trendsetting party-goers. Each and every one of the guests enjoyed the party which included several surprises as the night went on. As they sipped champagne and mingled, guests were also invited to have a whimsical likeness of themselves drawn standing beside the new CLS-Class. Four skilled artists were in attendance to sketch the likenesses, which will no doubt be treasured by their subjects. Later, guests were led into the Grand Hall to revel in a spectacular show of mystical and sensuous modern dance that seductively led to the unveiling of the CLS-Class. Amid a heady mix of cigars and cognac, the party reached another peak when the DJ started to spin some funky tunes to get guests in the groove. As some danced the night away and others indulged themselves in gastronomic delights freshly prepared by on-site chefs, true automobile enthusiasts got up-close and personal with the new CLS-Class. click to enlarge click to enlarge
