Internet users select Mercedes-Benz as their heart-winning brand
The third "Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards 2004-2005" presentation ceremony was held on 27 April. Mercedes-Benz was named one of the most "heart-winning automobiles" based on votes sent in by Yahoo! Hong Kong users and the judgment of a distinguished panel.
According to the distinguished judging panel, the winning brands were rewarded for their trustworthiness, reputation, creativity, innovation, as well as the ability to live up to their promises, to rejuvenate their brands to meet changing consumers' needs, and to consistently convey a unique, strong and positive brand image.
Yahoo! Hong Kong also commissioned Synovate to conduct a survey to gauge consumers' perceptions of "favourite brands". 40% of the 1,000 adult consumers surveyed felt that their favourite brand helped them "manage their life", while 41% said it was "part of their everyday life".
