The E-Class Facelift – See the E-Class in a new light
After four years in production and around a million vehicles sold, Mercedes-Benz is presenting the new generation of its world-beating E-Class. It is once again setting the benchmark as the technology trendsetter and presenting basic brand values like safety, comfort, innovation, economy and quality.

Safety
- New: PRE-SAFE® as standard
The PRE-SAFE® occupant protection system is being introduced as standard for the new-generation E-Class. PRE-SAFE is designed to utilize every last second before an accident. The ESP / BAS sensors are able to detect critical situations and initiative preventive measures, e.g. activation of the reversible seat-belt tensioners for the driver and front passenger or automatic closure of the side windows.
- ADAPTIVE BRAKE system
It includes an adaptive brake light which alerts following traffic to emergency braking by flashing on deceleration and activates the hazard warning lights when the vehicle comes to a standstill.
- New: Intelligent Light System
Equipped with country lights, motorway lights and the cornering light function, as well as enhanced fog lamps and the Active Light System, this variable bi-xenon headlamp system distribute the light in the manner best suited to the current driving situation and weather condition.
