To deliver the sheer power of its powerplant to the road the CL 65 AMG was equipped with the 5-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission. It can also be operated manually using the silver-coloured aluminium gearshift paddles on the AMG sports steering wheel and facilitates incredibly quick gear changes. Outstanding exterior features of the top-of-line CL 63 AMG model include AMG twin-spoke forged wheels, two chrome-plated twin exhaust pipes in a V12 design, the "V12 biturbo" lettering on the front wings and the chrome-plated lower cross strut in the front apron.
