Thanks to a carefully developed space concept, the E-Class Estate is one of the leading players in its vehicle category. Equipped with an optional fold-down seat bench in the loading area, it can accommodate up to seven persons or deliver a stowage capacity of up to 1950 litres. This is possible if the rear seat bench is folded down completely (at the push of a button). The rear seat bench can also be folded with a 1/3:2/3 split.

The E-Class Estate offers impressive stowage space. To use it efficiently requires intelligent solutions. Mercedes-Benz has developed the EASY-PACK loading aid to maximise efficiency in the load compartment.

The Estate is equipped as standard with the EASY-PACK tailgate, which is operated electromechanically and can be opened at the push of a button from the driver’s seat, on the tailgate itself or using the ignition key. It is closed using a switch on the tailgate. The double retractable cover located near the C-pillar protects the luggage from the sun and from prying eyes. To make loading easier, the cover moves upwards when the tailgate is opened, and automatically returns to its original position when the tailgate is closed.
