For even greater economic efficiency, the E-Class comes with a new generation of 4-cylinder engine – which meets the EU 5 emissions standard. The E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY and the E 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY 1.8-litre engine not only offers impressive figures for consumption and emissions – it also delivers top values for torque, output and noise level. The E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY delivers 184 hp at a maximum torque of 270 Nm. The E 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY delivers 204 hp at a maximum torque of 300 Nm. Consumption was reduced by over 20 percent compared to its predecessor.
(E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY: fuel consumption combined: 7.9l/100 km-8.1l/100km, CO2 emissions combined: 183g/km-189g/km. E 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY: fuel consumption combined: 7.3 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 174 g/km)[1]
Concentrated power is packed into the 6-cylinder engines of the E 300 and E 350 as well as the 8-cylinder engine of E 500. All of these engines meet the EU 5 emissions standard, and they can deliver 231 hp, 272 hp and 388 hp, respectively. The E 500 accelerates within 5.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.
(E 300: fuel consumption combined: 9.1–9.3 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 212–217 g/km; E 350: fuel consumption combined: 9.3–9.7 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 217–228 g/km; E 500: fuel consumption combined: 10.9–11.2 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 256–261 g/km)[1]
